Pipefitting involves fabricating, installing, and maintaining piping systems that carry liquids, gases, steam, and chemicals in industrial settings.

It combines hands-on craftsmanship with problem-solving and technical skills. It’s a strong option if you enjoy building, working with tools, and seeing the results of your work.

You’ll learn pipefitting techniques, blueprint reading, pipe fabrication, measurements, installation methods, and safety practices used in the field.

Training takes place in a shop lab designed to simulate a real industrial fabricator shop. This will give you hands-on experience with industry tools and equipment. 

If you attend full time, you can complete the Occupational Certificate in as little as one semester.

No prior experience is required. The credential is designed to teach foundational pipefitting and fabrication skills from the ground up.

The courses are designed to align with National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) exams used in the pipefitting industry.

Pipefitters often work in construction, manufacturing, commercial buildings, power plants, and petrochemical facilities.
